Prof. Ning Sun

Nankai University, China

Ning Sun received the B.S. degree in measurement & control technology and instruments (with honors) from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering (with honors) from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 2014. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Robotics and Automatic Information Systems, Nankai University, Tianjin, China. His research interests include intelligent control for mechatronic/robotic systems with an emphasis on (industrial) applications.Dr. Sun received the Machines 2021 Young Investigator Award, the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard), the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Excellent Youth Award in 2019, the ICCAR 2022 Young Scientist Award, the China 10 Scientific and Technological Developments in Intelligent Manufacturing of 2019, several outstanding journal/conference paper awards, etc. He serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Systems Journal, and Journal of Field Robotics. In addition, he has been an Associate Editor of the IEEE CSS Conference Editorial Board since July 2019, and he is/was an Associate Editor for the top robotics conferences IEEE ICRA and IEEE/RSJ IROS.


Prof. Shaojian Zhang

Nanchang University, China

Prof. Dr. Shaojian Zhang is from School of Advanced Manufacturing, Nanchang University, Nanchang, China. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2005 and obtained his MPhil Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2008 and his PhD in Ultra-precision Machining (UPM) technology from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2012. He started his academic career as a Lecturer in 2013 and promoted to an Associate Professor in 2015 and a Professor in 2018. He is an active researcher focusing on UPM technology and its applications into advanced manufacturing fields. His research interests include robotized parallel UPM, dynamic characteristics of UPM and nanometric surface roughness measurement of UPM. He has published 10 papers as the first author in "International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture" with the ESI high citation, as well as obtained more than 10 patents. He has secured more than 10 external projects, covering the National Science and Technology Major Project, the National Natural Science Foundation etc. He is the Youth Expert Committee Member of Advanced Optical Manufacturing of the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering and the academic Editorial Board Members of some SCI journals such as "Shock and Vibration". He also academically serves in over 10 international SCI referred journals, involving "International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture", "Precision Engineering" etc.


A.Prof. Sohrab Mirsaeidi

Beijing Jiaotong University, China

Sohrab Mirsaeidi received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia in 2016.

Subsequently, he furthered his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China

from 2016 to 2019. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University

(BJTU), China. Sohrab Mirsaeidi has published 60+ papers and 2 books in the field of Microgrids and Large-Scale Power Systems.

He is a Member of the National Technical Committee of Measuring Relays and Protection Equipment Standardization of China,

and has presided over and participated in several national research projects in China. He is an Editorial Board Member for several international journals and a Regular Reviewer for IEEE Transactions journals. He has also served as Chair, Keynote/Invited

Speaker, and Technical Committee Member in 60+ international conferences. His main research interests include Control and Protection of Large-Scale Hybrid AC/DC Grids and Microgrids, Power System Stability, and Application of Power Electronics in Power

Systems. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Member of IET, CIGRE, and Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE).
